I am new to Dr.Atkins but my wife has been on it for a while.I have 40 pounds to lose and my wife swears this forum is helping her.So I will give this a try and together we can support each other.I am currently 210 and would like to be at my ideal weight of 180.Today is my first day on induction and I have a clean slate.I drink 150 ounces of water today.Usually I drink about 32 ounces. But I also usually eat a snickers bar daily so let's see if I can kill that craving.

Hi Mark and welcome to the board.
I am glad you have found us. It wont be long until you get rid of your Snickers cravings. Keep up the good work, this way of eating really is so easy I am glad you have decided to "give it a whirl".

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Mark,
Welcome and that's great that both you and your wife are doing this together. My wife was doing it with me for a while, but she has been slipping lately. It is so much easier when you both do it.
As far as this board is concerned, it is what has kept me going, even when I wanted to quit. I've been trying to get my wife to come on here for months! I think she could learn so much and get so much support> I think it's fabulous that your wife got you to come here.
Good luck, and let us know how you're doing.Jim

Yes I'm eating a smore in the picture, how do you think I got so fat?
