  • Newbie!

    Hey everyone!

This is day 2 of induction for me and i am super excited. I'm Tasha mother of 2 boys (6 yr and 5 mos) and wife and working mom. Life is hinda hectic but i need to lose this baby weight and extra i was carrying on top of that.

I have about 55 pds to lose, and have tried everything under the sun. My latest attempt was Weight watchers, but for me i know i'm an carb addict and an emotional eater. So hopefully i can learn and master the Atkins WOL and create a healthier happier me for myself, my husband and my kids.

      Re: Newbie!

Hi, Tasha. So glad you joined us. There are so many wonderful, supportive, and knowledgeable people here to help you with your Atkins journey.

I don't know that particular book you mentioned, Atkins for Life. The one I have is the Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution. Maybe someone else will advise you about your book.

Anyway, Welcome to ADBB and look forward to seeing you around and reading about your successes.

            Re: Newbie!

Hello Tasha and welcome. Glad you're now one of us!!

The book you have has some good advice in it, but the one that really explains the programme is: Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 edition. That's the one the board goes by as it was the last one Dr A wrote in its entirely, before he died.

Best wishes on your new Atkins journey!

O.k. thanks everyone, the book i have is a lil confusing and seems geared more towards maintenance. I think i'll go buy the New Diet Revolution this weekend.

Good idea Tasha... the Atkins for Life book that you have, is a maintenance guide really. Make sure you get the DANDR 2002 edition as, being the last one Dr A wrote entirely, it hasn't had other "pens" messing around with it.
