  • New to board from Oak Ridge, Tennessee..

    Hello,
My name is Donna and this is the first time I've seen this discussion forum and I'm very pleased to be here. I've been posting to a Low Carb forum that is on Foodnetwork and i like it but I find it a bit mundane at times. I'm looking for some variety!

I have been doing Atkins since Jan 04 and have lost aprox. 57 lbs. I haven't weighed in a few weeks so could be down more by now. I normally weigh about 1 X a month. I am 34 years old and have 2 children ages 14 and 11. Both my children have seen many benefits from my lifestyle change and are making strides to change their eating habits also. My 11 yr old has actually dropped a pant size (I'm proud!) and my son asks me lots of questions about what he should and should not eat. My starting weight was around 276lbs. I still have a significant amt of weight to lose but am on the way to making it happen. I am also 5' 7 and wear a size 16.

I hope to become a regular here and wish everyone the very best success!~
