  • Is that really me?

Is that really me?....That is what I think everytime I see myself in the mirror. In my head I'm still in the body I used to have...I don't know what that is called...denial maybe. I'm ready to have my body match who I feel that I am, because right now I feel like one of the people you see on T.V in a fat suit!

I'm embarassed to say that this will be my third time on Atkins....but very happy to say it will be my last! This is what works for me...so why keep fighting it, right?

Hello everyone, I'm Jenn! I'm a 30 year old, mother of two (still holding on to the baby weight!) I'm married to my best friend, and I'm getting ready to go back to college in a few weeks...Life is good.....But getting healthy, and shedding this weight will make it WONDERFUL!

I've checked in on this forum for years, and envied everyones accomplishments!....Now it's time for some of my own!

See you all around...(since it is 9pm..I will start first thing tomorrow!)

I think that is a good attitude to have--right after having a picture taken at your highest weight; looking at it and acknowledging that that is really how heavy you are for the moment; then put that picture away and put ones of how you want to look or used to look everywhere. Your mind tends to make happen what you envision. Your thoughts are very powerful, as is your mindset.

In actuality, I, and I believe many others, have the opposite problem. After we lose the weight, we still see ourselves as fat. Years ago, when I lost 90 pounds to goal, after being heavy for a few years, I was approaching a store entrance and the light was just right for a clear reflection from the glass door. Being a polite Southerner, I stepped aside to let that "thin" lady come past me. Well, 'she' stepped aside, too! I was shocked when I realized that the "thin" lady was ME. I know people thought I was crazy when I stood there, turning side to side, to let it sink in just what I really looked like.

Welcome and come join us on some challenges. We'll go down this road to success together!
