Iowa City has great culture! (We won't even talk about LA Sillygirl).

Are you into the music scene? My husband is a musician (singer-songwriter) and used to be part of that scene for a number of years about a decade or so ago.

Marcella....i Am Somewhat Familiar With The Music Scene. What Kind Of Music Does He Play And Write? How Interesting. I Have Been In Iowa City For Almost 30 Years, Married A Guy Who Was A Native To The Area. I Love It Here, Two Of My Kids Have Gone To The University Of Iowa And Our Whole Family Is Into Hawkeye Football. Was Wondering If You Have Been To The New Casino? My Husband And I Was Up At Cedar Falls This Summer And Noticed It Was Having Its Grand Opening...not That I Am A Big Gambler Or Anything I Was Just Curious... Marcy

My husband writes all of his own songs. They are kind of folky/country, and you can definately dance to them! He's pretty popular around here, plays on Karen Impola's folk show on KUNI Public Radio Station a lot.

Yes, we went to the buffet at the new casino, and tried the penny slots. Ended up losing about $20.00 a piece, then quit while we were just a little behind! I like the casinos in Dubuque so much better. And there is so much to do there...they have that wonderful Mississippi River Museum.

Hey, we're halfway through Friday, and it's almost the weekend! Good luck staying on plan! I don't have access to a computer on the weekends, so I'll check back in with you on Monday!

My Name Is Marcy And I Am 53 Years Old, I Started Atkins On JULY 30th And Have Lost 17lbs To Date. I Feel So Much Better And Have Tons Of Extra Energy. My Goal Weight Is 150 Or 145. Wish Me Luck!!!!! MY STARTING WEIGHT WAS 215 AND I AM 5'7". I AM DOWN TO 198.
