  • Something different

My name is Katie, I live near Gainesville FL. GO GATORS!!! I am 45 years old, married with 3 grown children and one grandson.

I have been dieting most of my life even before adulthood. I had success with anything I tried for as long as I stuck with it until I was about 43, then everything changed. My body wouldn't budge below 299 for the longest time, so I gave up dieting and ate whatever getting my self up to 335.

I knew that I had to find something different this time, after doing a lot of research, I bought the book and found this board. I finally feel a difference in the way that I am dealing with my weight. This time I will succeed

hey Katie, nice to meet you and welcome to ADBB. I love the SEC too, one great conference for sure. Sorry, I am a Hog fan.
I understand what you are saying about trying all the diets and having success for a little while. Well, let me tell you you have found the right place and for sure the right way of eating. Atkins has been the answer for me and one diet I know you can stick with too. Congrats on buying the book. Read it and reread it. You will then see why this way of eating is so easy.
Believe me when I tell you, I tried every diet known to man, this way of eating works like no other plus you will feel great doing it. The support and knowledge are here for the taking, just soak it up and lose that weight. I am looking forward to hearing your progress, good luck, brady

                  Re: Something different

Welcome! Congratulations on buying the book, :reading: thus saving yourself from trying to do the 'diet' by the way you have always 'heard' it was done! The real deal is not a diet, but a whole lifestyle change.

I, too, hovered near 300 pounds for way too long. I've lost 118 pounds on this very enjoyable way of eating. I love it and will never stray or balloon up in weight ever again.

                  Sunny!
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.
