Hello everyone, my name is Lisa and I am on day 11 of Induction. So far I have lost 8 pounds!! I started weighing 195, and I am now 187!! I can't wait to keep seeing my results. I am very excited! My goal is to get to 140 pounds. Any induction tips from anyone??

Hi Lisa, Welcome to ADBB and congrtulations on your progress so far, sounds like you've been doing great!

Biggest tip for doing Atkins induction would be to read the book, especially the acceptable food and drink lists, and then be sure to check the ingredients of everything you put in your mouth. That, combined with exercise and lots of water, and you should be good to go!

    Good luck and good health!

        Thanks! =)

Say I thought of a couple other things.

        1. Take some before pictures, front, back and side. They are so much fun to have later on.
        2. Take your measurements. It's really great to be able to compare your starting measurements with your current ones. Also sometimes weight loss slows down but you could very well still be losing inches, so it's nice to have something to refer to.

Welcome to the board Lisa. Grant gave you the best advice - including the ideas I was thinking of! I might add that coming to this board often really helps to maintain that motivation - both reading about other's successes and posting your own. Plus you can always find answers here that you may not find in the book - based on everyone's personal real-life experience.

You are doing great so far!

When I did my Induction, I found planning my meals in advance really helped me.
I had less temptation, for just one bite of ...... for me, chocolate.

                  Welcome Lisa...you big loser

My advice is think ahead plan ahead. Most slip ups happen when we haven't done either of those two things.

You're doin great sofar. Keep up the good work!

Welcome aboard Lisa and congratulations on your success so far!

I'm a great believer in COLD water... lots of it. Every time I upped my cold water (I drink over 4 litres a day!!) my weight loss picked up. It takes energy for the body to heat the water and that energy used makes more of a difference than we think.

                    Happy Atkineering!
