    HI
My name is Sandi, IM a widow, 46 years old with 3 boys (11.14, and 23 year old) I have over 200 to lose. I just got out of the hospital for blood clots to the lungs, which the Drs. say I am lucky to be alive.
I am on blood thinners now. It was really scary.
I had before wanted to go on Atkins and now I am totally committed. I am an emotional eater and that will be the hardest for me to deal with.
My boys are Learning disabled and I have to spend a lot of time sitting with them doing homework, etc.
Total is my first day and I think I did OK, I know I need to drink more water, but other then that I stuck with it.
Hoping to get to know you all
    Sandi

      Welcome Sandi.

CONGRATULATIONS on your first day of this new WOE. So happy you found our happy family. This is a fantastic place to get encouragement as you get healthy and lose excess weight. It doesn't matter how much you have to lose, you are not alone. Many of us started with a lot to lose (I had 140 to lose when I began). Everyone here is extremely supportive and willing to offer advice.

We have the CC club that you might want to check out. Also get inspiration from the success stories. Best wishes and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Also, if you haven't read the book, make sure you get the Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution edition 2002. You can purchase it at Walmart for under $7.
      Starting Date 3/12/04 285/165/145 - F

Dedication gives wings to our dreams and keeps them in flight! In One Word...COMMITTMENT.

I will turn 40 this year and I want to go into that phase of my life a thin person. I need to lose about 100lbs. I can honestly say that on my second day of this program I have had more energy. :joy I just want to say best of luck to everyone on the program. :dancing
