Hello,everyone I just started started today. I pray that this website will help me move forward and stay on track. I plan to have weekly goals and work out 30mins. each day..I need to lose weight. I am at 254 now and my long trem goal is 190...Wish me luck.

Go check out all of the challenges we have going on, joining one will also help you stay on track.
Be sure to watch for the Veggie Challenge coming up october 22, that would be a great challenge to join!

If you need support, you're in the right place! I just joined and reading the posts of others has been very motivating. You should join the Abs challenge, I did a pledge of 200 crunches per day unitil Christmas. Come Join Us!

Hello and welcome, sounds like you got a plan, I am also getting started, and have been for over a month, I have lost 2 lb, but it so hard me to stick to anything, but I am going to take each day as a new beginning and start again from there. I have learned that I can start my day over as many times as I want to and I do just that. I try not to be hard on myself, I already know that doesn't work, so I try to be kind to myself and give me another try because the reasons are plenty. You have a good day and don't give up and if you do get down, just say " OK, I am down, but I am not going to lose site and I will Start from here. That is the way things are finished. HELLO, EVERYONE ...I WANT TO SAY THANK U FOR ALL THE SUPPORT. I JUST JOINED AND I AM A VERY EMOTIONAL EATER....I HAVE BEEN HAVIN A HARD TIME LOSING WEIGHT.. WHEN I CAME BACK TO THE WEB AN SAW THE SUPPORT I HAD. I BEGAN TO CRY HAPPY TEARS TO KNOW THAT I AM NOT A LONG AND I AM ENCOURAGED THAT I CAN DO THIS... I NEED TO FOR MYSELF AND CHILDREN. I JUST WANT TO SAY THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never realized I was such a "carburetor" until I started Atkins! And, being the only person in my house that (a) has a weight issue and (b) has to monitor their diet...sometimes it really stinks. Especially because I love to cook and I still cook all the yummies for everyone. I just take long, slow, deep sniffs before I hand them over!!
