  • First success!

I started atkins September 29/07 weighing 130ish and then had to face (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend 7 days later... By the time the weekend started I was down 5 lbs to exactly 125 lbs. I had three Turkey dinners to attend - one Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Yesterday (Tuesday) morning I had not gained a pound! I had indulged a bit but most of the sins were with my own meal. ( you have to taste what you are cooking even if it is choc. pie )

I only have 7 or so lbs. to go till I reach me goal (I go more on size than what the scale says) but it has been two years trying to get this baby weight off. My baby will be 2 in January and I got rid of the first 50lbs w/n 8 months of her birth. The last 10-12 lbs have been almost impossible but atkins has made it so much easier. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I know I will fit my jeans again - though they may not be in style...

I did make it through the weekend!

Welcome aboard Adam! Nice to have you with us. Congrats on your first success. Isn't it soooo motivating when you see those lbs disappear?! You'll soon be back into those jeans.

You haven't far to go to reach goal, so be sure you move to OWL (ongoing weight loss) very soon. It takes some time to climb the rungs and find out how various foods affect you and to find your CCLL (critical carb level for losing).

      Happy Atkineering!
      Before and after:

Right before got pregnant (my daughter is 3.5 years old!) I bought a new pair of 7's jeans. I havn't fit in them since. They are completely out of style now but I'm keeping them...to try on when I hit my goal weight and then, and only then, will I get rid of them.

ADAM you sound like you are really close!!! Keep it up and post when you get there. I want to know what it feels like!!
