  • Hello Everyone

Hello my name is Tiffany, And I am new to this site. I've done atkins before and actually lost 7lb. But due to some mental health issues I quite. I have been overweight since I was 10 yrs old, And I am ready to change. I have alot of health issues that runs in my family(Diabetes) and I don't want to live my life taking meds or insulin ( I already had to go throught it when i was pregnant). I have a 18 month cold son, and I wanna be here to see grow up and have kids of his own. I wanna be able to lose weight without feeling like a outsider when I am with friends or family going out to lunch or dinner. So thats a little about me and I hope to share my sucess with you all.

Welcome Ineed2Change! I had type-2 diabetes when I began Atkins. It vanished in 48 days after doing Atkins. This woe (way of eating) contines to keep in check. I also used the glysemic index to choose foods lower on the glycemic load. To learn more about it go to www.glycemicindex.com Again, welcome, I look forward to hearing about your Atkins journey.

Hello Tiffany! I am new to this board too but not to Atkins. And I too have a family history of diabetes and want to nip it in the bud before I get it. I think Atkins is great and I plan on sticking with it this time. I'm gonna head over to the STAC and meet the peeps there since I'm technically not an Atkins newbie. Maybe I'll see you there!
