    Hi all,



    I will be 43 Monday and I have to lose some weight. I have no idea how much I weigh but the last time I weighted was over a year ago and I weighted 338#s. I am tired of being tired. I work and go to school (take 6 classes) and have my grand children on the weekend. As you can see, I do not have much time so I need some suggestions on something’s that can be cooked ahead, fast or picked up that isn’t too pricy. I know that I need to read the book but I don’t have time, while I’m in the car I’m listening to notes from class so that puts out buying the book and listening to it on tape. If someone will please tell me something fast that, I could eat for breakfast instead of eating snack cakes and chips or something that I pick up at the store in the mornings this would be helpful

    Hi Cindy,
    go to the Induction forum and read the Sticky's, they are very helpful. So are the ones in the Main forum. If you can devote some time to reading the book it will be time very well spent. I do not recommend going on Atkins 'blind' with just the guidance of the board. While this board is invaluable and an awsome tool to keep you on track and to get and give suggestions, it is not a substitute for the actual book. Atkins way of eating is amazing and when done right will give you many health rewards, but it is not something to go into lightly. I know how hard it is to find time to do anything, but maybe you could set a small amount of time aside for your health. I hope to see you on the boards with your progress and success!

      Hi Cindy and welcome to !!

      There is alot of info in the FAQ's forum but unfortunately there is no substitute for reading the book.

      Take a few minutes everyday and just read a few chapters or even paragraphs. You can do it! It is an investment in you!

      Check out the recipe section for some great on the go recipes. We are here to help you!

        Hi Cindy. Welcome. When I was working full-time, I did all my cooking one day a week and had meals already to grab and go. I made a lot of meatballs, Atkins pizza on burgers, chicken breasts, tuna salads, chicken salads, fish, and boiled eggs. I added veggies and salads and had a meal in no time. You still have to PLAN ahead and do your homework as far as figuring out when to exercise and measure your water intake, but after a few weeks it will become a habit. Best wishes.
