    Re: Something has to give

Hi, glad you've decided to join us! I also tried numerous diets that were out there, and if I did lose, I ended up gaining it back. One thing for sure is if you do Atkins as Dr. Atkins designed it, it works. Combining the 4 phases of the program with exercise, water and life-style changes will bring you success.

The ADBB is filled with many people who are all working together to help each other achieve their goals. Jump into the action...challenges, journals, chats, life/health issue forums (there are forums for hypothyroid and PCOS that you will find beneficial). Put a plan into action to be successful, make friends who understand and educate yourself on the program. You'll make it happen. We're all here for you! Best wishes!

Welcome to ADBB! Glad to have you join our Atkins family. I truly hope you find that you're as successful on Atkins as so many others have been. I'm willing to bet you will be, if you follow the programme to a "T".

You mention medical issues... Are you taking any particular medicines? These can sometimes be behind difficulty in losing... on any weight loss programme.

Post lots and let us know how you're doing. We're with ya!

              Hey Sally,

Yes I am on Meds.. right now I am on synthroid and cytomel for the thyroid and metformin for the PCOS and I am boarderline diabetic.. I will be getting tested for Cushin's disease in DEC and we will see what happens there.. I know that my medical problems are not helping with the weight loss so I hope that this program works well and I can stick with it. Thanks for the support!
