  • Starting Induction on Monday...

    Hi All! I am so excited about starting the Atkins diet on Monday the 22nd. I am ready to lose and be healthy and happier with myself once again. I have tried the Atkins before and lost 12 lbs at the most but I have been reading all of the encouraging messages from the people on this forum and I believe that I can go for the big numbers this time. Sooooo everyone get at me with all of your advice, love, and encouraging words and let me know how I can reach my goals more effectively ! Thanks and I look forward to chatting...

      Hello! I have an older edition of the book. I had a newer one but lent it to someone and well you know the rest of the story. I didn't find that much difference between the 2 but maybe you'd know about that more than I...

        Hiya Mrs Bee! Welcome to the board.

        The book we go by here is the Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution - 2002 edition. This was the last one written entirely by Dr A, before his death, so hasn't had any other "pens" meddling with it. I haven't read the older book, but apparently there are significant changes.

        Congrats on your decision to get healthier, happier and slimmer. This is definitely the programme for you, as I'm willing to bet that soon you'll be all three if you stick to the plan.

        Don't forget: low carb by the book, exercise, water, supplements.... and you can't fail!

          Thank you Sally! I feel so uplifted already. I have a hard time sticking to any diet including Atkins but some how I feel that this time is the jackpot for me. Keep you fingers crossed for me!
