  • just a quick introduction

    my name is angie, 24 years from pa, im just experimenting for now with atkins to see how much weight can be lost from this

    my goal is to get down approximately 135 pounds which is appropriate for my height of 5'10, my starting weight is 263 pounds, so far im down to 250 pounds

    so i think that i just need to motivate myself more to keep going

      Hi Angie. Congratulations on the 16 pounds you've already lost. Hurry up and measure yourself so you can SEE the inches melt - thats really motivating.

      Glad to see you join the board. You've found a wealth of information, challenges, journals, motivational stories/photos and friends to share your quest with. Have you read the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, edition 2002? It is the best resource for educating yourself on how to properly do Atkins. It will give you information on how to do it, why it works, case studies, tips, and recipes.

      Jump in, get active in the forums, make friends and enjoy making this a way of life. Wishing you the best of luck. Keep us posted on your progress. We care and want to see you succeed.

          Welcome and congrats on your losses so far! You're doing very well indeed!

          I'll ditto Becky's recomendation to read the book... it's invaluable. I'm willing to bet that with that, and posting to this board, you'll end up opting for a lifestyle change!

              Great job Angie! I'm also new to this and when I need a little motivation, I just visit this board and read everyones successes and the before and after pics! It's amazing. We can do this too!

                  Angie,

                  You will be very successful with Atkins. Sounds like you are on your way. One thing about Atkins if you dont see the scale move believe me you are shedding inches you will be amazed once you take your measurements. Keep up the good work.
