My name is Emmy and I started on the Atkins diet three days ago and have already lost 7 pounds. Probably just water weight or something. I am in the very fatigued stage but I am better today than I have been in the last two days. I am hoping to lose the weight that I gained after I had my daughter (she is 4 now, I KNOW!). I have a long way to go. I decided that I needed to lost the weight definitely when my daughter asked me "Mommy, are you fat?" After that and the fact that while I was on my honeymoon in March 2007 there were things that we wanted to do that had weight limits on them. My husband is extremely skinny, and it just made me feel so bad. I am going to lose the weight for my daughter and my husband, but most of all for myself because I know that I can look good if I try.
I have been on diets before but I have never stuck with them because I always felt starving or I wanted something with sugar. This one seems to be keeping me full longer and I don't eat as much. I haven't even had a craving for sugar yet! I have read a lot of the success stories and I hope that I will be able to have a story on here someday saying that I have reached my goal. In total I need to lose 150 pounds so I will see how it goes. I just hope that I keep up with this one and don't get off track again. Anyway, I am glad that I found this forum and I hope to be on here as much as I can to stay on track.

Glad you're finding that Atkins is keeping you full longer than other diets. It's true... and if we do get hungry, we eat!!
