    Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been reading your posts and looking at your pictures and I am so excited to start this process. I have been looking at losing weight for sometime and this program seems to be something I can live with forever. Seems strange not to have to give up food that tastes good.

    I hope all of you don't mind me leaning on you for support and lots of questions.

    Looking forward to getting to know the different people and mostly looking forward to getting a grip on my life.

        Hi Nichola. Welcome. Glad you are going into the program with excitement and positive frame of mind. This is the best weight loss program to follow. I'd suggest you read the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, edition 2002 if you haven't already. Dr. Atkins explains exactly how to do Atkins, why it works and gives valuable information, recipes, case studies and motivation.

        Post often and make lots of friends to keep focused on your weight loss. Measure so you can SEE the inches falling off and drink lots of water. Jump in, get active in the forums and challenges and you'll look and feel terrific in no time. Best wishes!!

          Welcome to the board, I am new myself, but everyone has been wonderful and very supportive.

          What I know:
          1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
          2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
          3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
          4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

            Welcome Nichola!
            No... of course we don't mind you leaning on us and asking questions. If you ask lots of questions, there's more chance you'll do Atkins as it should be done, and that way success is guaranteed!

              Thanks everybody. I am planning to use the support offered here. I think that could be the reason why I have had such bad luck trying to lose the weight in the past. It is hard doing it on your own. I hope to be able to give support as well.

                    Hi there Nichola! Welcome to the board. It's great that you are ready to change your diet into a healthy Atkins lifestyle. Don't be afraid of high fat foods. I know that sounds really odd if you've never eaten this way. The greatest thing about this is that we can have such a variety of foods, often involving cream and butter legally. What's not to love?
