  • Hello Everybody!

    I started induction 1/17/05 and so far have lost over five pounds, which is the most I have ever lost in one week! So far Atkins is working well with my eating preferences and lifestyle, and I plan to stay on induction for the foreseeable future. I've been visiting this board for more than a week, and think I have the picture and weight ticker thing figured out.

    I'm glad that I found this board and have been inspired by reading posts from others who are following this plan. I've been overweight for about 6 years, and am ready to do something about it. I tried Weight Watchers, but stayed hungry all of the time and only lost about 8 pounds over a 3 month period. I really think this is going to work, I am so excited!!

      Glad you found us and decided to join. This site is fantastic for encouragement and information that will help you as you change your WOE.

      I agree, all of the other weight loss plans that I've tried left me miserable and hungry. I've been on Atkins now for 11 months and haven't had one day where I've been hungry and tempted to quit. I eat a variety of foods and never get bored. (check out the recipe section).

      Congratulations on the weight you've lost so far. It only gets better and better as you have increased energy and shed weight.
