    I am not sure how to post all the time. But I would like to share daily my journey.



    Today is the first day since being on the Atkins diet that I have not had a slice of cheesecake and or white cheddar popcorn.



    This is my food journal for today.



    2 sausage links

    1 boiled egg

    12oz Coffee with vanilla creamer



    Small chef salad with blue cheese dressing



    Tomato/Cucumbers

    Fat free Jell-O



    Handful of cashews



    Tuna fish salad

    4 chicken winglets

    12oz international vanilla cafe coffee



    48oz water

    1hr of treadmill

    15 min working arms with weights.



    Today was kind of hard. I don't think I ate frequently enough.



    Tomorrow I am having

    Egg omelet from swans - 4 carbs

    Coffee with creamer



    Tuna fish salad



    4 chicken buffalo winglets

    Broccoli and cheese



    Fat free Jell-O



    Cub steak on the George forum

    Caulflour and broccoli



    carb free ice cream 4 carbs

    Hi, Daina. Welcome.

    The coffee creamers you are using have sugar in them. Use heavy whipping cream instead. You are allowed 2 tbspns per day of heavy cream.

    The carb free ice cream is probably not allowed yet. Not during induction. I would also question whether it is carb free. I have not yet seen a truly carb free anything except for meat and pure fat sources.

    Also, nuts (cashews especially) are not allowed during induction.

      Okay, no ice cream and I will do away with the creamers. How about the internation coffee ... with wipped cream?

        Is that the stuff that comes out of the little square can?

        If it is...it's made with aspartame, Dr. Atkins advises to avoid aspartame.

        You can have regular decaffeinated coffee and use heavy whipping cream. You can have up to 3 servings of Splenda/Sucralose or Saccharine per day.

          O really. yea that is the squar can. o i thought I found a treat. okay so regualar coffee. how about extra ... ?

            Hiya Daione and welcome again.

            Joy gave you good menu advice. You'll find you soon get into it. Read the stickies in the FAQs about what you're allowed to eat in induction, and the stickies in the induction forum. Those will start you off, but I'd strongly advise you get a copy of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002 edition). Understanding the science behind this way of eating is fundamental to success.
