  • New Here! Hello everyone!!!

    Hi everyone!!! :wave

I'm 29 years old. Need to lose at least 25 lbs. or more :yes
Just started atkins exactly 7 days back (Jan. 24, '05). I've been trying to lose weight for quite a long time but cannot pluck enough tenacity to stick to any diet particularly low fat. Have tried 7 days fasting but after the fast, immediately got back to my previous eating habit and of course the weight galloped back with more extra. I came across atkins topic on the net while I was surfing about diets and it kinda got me interested since from what I gathered it sounds really cool to me. Imagine I can eat all the food that used to be off limits and I can still lose weight - amazing! :yikes But before I started on this, I bought the book and read it from cover to cover so there will be no misinformation on my part.

So here I am, after 7 days of doing this, I can really feel the big difference. Though I haven't weighed in yet or measure coz I want to do that after 14 days. I'm eating much, much more than before - and eating those foods non-Atkins people would consider too fatty - and yet I can really feel that I'm losing weight. Just this morning one of my roommates told me that my clothes are a bit loose!!! :icondance That really made my day!

Been browsing around this board for 3 days now so I thought of dropping a line and letting you all know that another one is added to the people that you guys have given much inspiration and strengthens my resolve that I can definitely do this.
