    Hello All,

    I just wanted to introduce myself. But first I'd like to say that I am so glad I found this board. It's truley excellent. All the success stories are very motivating. Well, instead of boreing everyone with all my long drawn out "Day in the Life of a Fatboy Stories" I think I'll just keep my intro short by stating a few facts about myself.

    1. I currenty weigh 315lbs packed on a 5ft 11inch frame
    2. My goal weight is 195lbs
    3. After reaching my 1st goal weight I want to add on 25lbs of muscle (215lbs)
    4. I'll do all I can to learn from and contribute to this online community

    I look forward to reaching my goals and watching other members do the same.

    You can build the muscle as you're losing! theres some great advice in the exercise section!

        Welcome aboard Big Ike, with the right attitude (which it seems you have) and reading the book (is a huge help), you will do great. You can find all kind of information and support on the board.

        What I know:
        1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
        2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
        3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
        4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

            Welcome Big Ike. Glad to have you join us. You've set great goals, however Emma is right, you can work on the muscles as you lose. There are lots of exercise tips and challenges that you can check out. You'll find lots of information, motivation and warm friendly people here to share your success with. Get active here, read the book, Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution - edition 2002 (if you haven't already) and keep a positive attitude....You'll make your goals in no time. Best wishes!! (Don't forget to measure...so you can SEE the inches melting off)
