    Hi Jamie, I am on my second week. I had 76 pounds to lose, now I have 68 to lose. This forum is very motivational and inspirational. Read the book and don't give up. Good luck with it. You can do it!!!

      Welcome Jamie, I think you will find this a wonderful and supportive group. I am fairly new myself, and I can't believe the support that I have found. You will do great, just follow the WOE as it was intended.
      40 year old male 6' 3"

      What I know:
      1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
      2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
      3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
      4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

          Welcome to the board Jamie! You will find all the support you need if you stick close to the board. Most of us find that daily posting helps to keep us on track and accountable for our eating.

          Have you read the book? You know all the rules? Let us know if you need any guidance! In the meantime, cruise the board a find some challenges or other way to get involved!

            Hello there Jamie! Nice to have you on board with us. You're in the right place for encouragement and good low carbing (well, Atkins) advice.

            Roam around the board and join any activity that takes your fancy... they're all pretty motivating.

                Welcome and good luck to you, Jamie. For success stories, check out the Success Stories and Before and After pictures threads -- you'll find lots of motivation there. Also, the journals are a great place to read about people's progress along the way -- the ups, downs, challenges, and successes.

                I strongly agree you should purchase/read the book if you haven't done so already -- make sure it's Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 edition. I just picked one up on Ebay for less than $4, including shipping!

                Also, check out the Induction Forum for frequently asked questions and issues new folks face.

                    WELCOME Jamie.... As you have seen, this is a very supportive group from day one. All you have to do is holler... Go around the different area and chime in when it feels right. My mistake the first time around is that I was to "shy" to post.. just read. That did not provide me the support I needed to stay on track. That is why I'm back for a 2nd time. I am now surrounded by all kinds of friends and have learned that I am welcomed anywhere on the board.... YOU'LL love the feeling..... Especially, when you want to shout to the world that you've lost a pound or two... We are as happy as you are..
