I just started the 31st but it took me a good ccouple of days to quit thinking as I have been and not eat carbs... so officially I started the 2nd of Jan. I'm feeling great other than the headache which I expected and I can not even begin to tell all of you how glad I was to find this board! I have a long journey infront of me and I know I am going to be looking for support so I will say ahead of time thanks so much!
Ok so the journey begins...Also, Anyone from AZ out there? If so say Hi anytime!!

Welcome Britta! Nice to meet ya.
You've come to the absolute right place for support and motivation, not to mention good LC advice.
Sorry to hear you have a touch of the old induction flu. Rest assured that it only lasts a few days (if that) and then you'll suddenly feel completely re-vitalised. Hang in there!
Keep us up to date as to your progress so that we can cheer you along the way.
Before and after:

Re: Hi Everyone! I am just starting but excited!!
Welcome Britta! I started Dec 2 with a similar weight as you. We also have the same long term goal. I have stuck with it and am feeling great. My advice is to read the book and stay true to this WOL. It is so worth it and so rewarding. If you ever feel like cheating, just browse this forum for support, you will definately find it.
Best wishes!

Re: Hi Everyone! I am just starting but excited!!
Hi Britta - I am in Phoenix, too! I just started on the 31st. I had a day of headaches, but that is all past. Today I hiked Shaw Butte and went to the top. I went this past Wednesday and couldn't ever catch my breath - so we didn't get all the way to the top. But today I did - woo hoo. Welcome to the boards!

Hey Britta--my "twin" avatarsister--hope the headache gets better so you will be feeling 100% fab. I have similar starting weight and goals as you and totally credit the great people on here for my success so far.
You are in the right place and the journey IS long but oh so worth it!!

Welcome Britta!!
You'll find all kinds of support & knowledge here at ADBB. Don't be afraid to ask questions, join a challenge or two, start a journal & enjoy a few laughs too!
I highly recommend you take your measurements! Losing inches are wonderful as is losing weight & gaining energy.
Again welcome!

Re: Hi Everyone! I am just starting but excited!!
Good Morning all my amaizing ADBB Friends!! I have done amazinglywell considering I was a bit freaked out about the weekend. Yesterday i actually had to force myself to eat and everything was on the approved list and I feel great! Decrease...Please stay intouch I can see us being a good support for eachother and S&S sooo nice to see another Phoenican! Oh and can't forget OZ!! I took my measurements and added them to my stats and also joined the 2008 challenge...I will be looking at more today. I am showing small on the ketone sticks but from my understanding that could be due to drinking so much water, which is a good thing....
Anyways Happy Sunday! Its raining here and snowing up north (yes AZ does get snow...LOL)
