    starting again

I did atkins last summer and lost about 17 lbs... I strayed away and went back to regular eating since then and gained 6 lbs back. I started again last week and did well for four days before I gave in to some silly pancakes. So I started again today and have lost a pound already. I'm the type of person that needs lots of reassuring because I always lose a little bit of weight, and then tell myself that I look fine the way I am, and then I eat regular again and gain back the weight and go into a deep hatred of myself for being so repulsive. Issues? Yes. So my current weight is 206 (205 now) and my goal is 145. I'm trying to reach this goal by my 21st birthday, which is December 10. I'm already inspired by looking at everyone's before and after pictures.... I can't wait to post my own!!

Welcome to the board! Good luck with reaching your goal. I know you can do it. You have a little over 11 month to reach your goal. Stick with this WOL and you will attain your goal.

Welcome to the board! Glad to have you and you will find all the motivation and help you need here.

      went back to regular eating
One thing that will help you enormously to be successful in the long term is to start thinking of THIS way of eating as regular eating, and the other way as bad eating/abnormal eating. There is nothing regular about eating in a way that makes you overweight, unhealthy and unhappy.

Warm welcome to the ADBB! We're happy you're with us for your Atkins journey.

So many of us have done that "lose a few lbs, then tell ourselves we're ok..." thing. We know exactly where you're coming from.

Hopefully we'll be able to give you a few tips and some inspiration to stick with it this time around. There's no sensation on earth like that of getting to your goal weight and maintaining. It's such a long lasting good feeling... a permanent high. Go for it. You can do it!
