    Hello-

Here is a bit of my story..................I am familiar with atkins, because my mom, dad and myself went on the diet 5 years ago. I stayed on for almost a year and lost 25 lbs. (my mom & dad just recently fell off about a year ago/mom lost 30, dad lost 70).

Well, after I met my husband, I went off the diet, ate what he was eating (he is tall and thin and eats everything without gaining an ounce ) and gained 50 lbs.!! I was over 220 lbs. (im 5'2")

I started weight watchers a little over a year ago and lost about 20lbs. I was hovering around 200, but then lost interest in that diet and also was short on money around the holidays.....and stopped going to meetings and measuring my portions..............gained 13 lbs back....SO that brings me to Jan 1st.

My new years resolution: STICK TO ATKINS. WORK OUT. FIND FREE SUPPORT!
    I know it works.
I know I feel a ton better when I stay away from sugar and processed foods.
I belong to a gym, and I am going to go at least 2x a week.
I need to be accountable for my actions, and it is nice to talk to people who all have the same goal, and understand how hard it is sometimes.

So, Nice to meet everyone! I hope I have the strength to stay on the road to a heathier happier me!!

Hey Sarah! Welcome to the board. Of course your husband is tall, thin and can eat anything he wants. Seems that's always the case! Anyway, you're doing this for you so let him eat all the junk he wants. You will be the one to be trim, healthy and fit when you Atkins!
