  • Bonjour fellow shrinkers

first time on the board, 2nd time on the Atkins.... First time was a rather nice success story, I went from 18stone (252lbs) to 12 stone (168lbs) in 10 months . Though Iv since put on 20lbs that I'd like to lose... Especially as Im moving to Melbourne in May and they all seem to have bodies to die for in Oz!

When I last did the diet I didn't do any weights so moving back to regular eating meant rapid weight gain... Im hoping to avoid that this time through weight training as I must admit, I can't do this diet long term! I miss some little things far tooooo much!

    Good luck to us all

Moving to melbourne eh? cool! that'll keep you motivated for sure!! whereabouts are you now?

This really aint a quick fix diet, as in any diet if you got back to your old way of eating you'll gain weight!

True it is not a quick fix but it does lose those all important first few lbs that get the motivation going ...... much like the soup diet though i hated that!

Well, it's quicker than most diets out there, but accepting it as a way of life and eating is the true challenge. You will love to read all the success stories on here. I do.
I am on day 3 (second time around in the last few weeks) and committed to visit the board daily to stay on track.

Good luck! You can do it!

Welcome aboard! Nice to have you with us.
How cool that you're moving to Melbourne. I bet that, if you stick with your weight training, it will give you a body as good as any over there in OZ!

I'm hoping that you'll change your mindset gradually as you follow Atkins here at ADBB, and make this a way of life. There are sooooo many wonderful substitutions for those foods we love, and reading the board you'll come across them.

              Happy losing!
