    Husband and wife losing together!

    Hello everyone! My name is Julie and my wonderful husbands name is Tommy. We have a 14mo daughter. Both of our weigh has gotten out of control and we want to set a healthly example for our daughter. The adkins diet has been in my family for a while. My father is a diabetic and because of counting carbs he has been able to go off some of his meds (praise God)

    Tommy started adkins 1/3 and after seeing his success in just a few days I followed him on 1/6 This morning Tommy is down 15.6 and I am down 12.2 and we see no end in sight!

    Thank you for letting me share our story and I look forward asking questions and getting to know some of you!

        Lol. I just googled atkins, my mistake. No wonder everytime I typed adkins in my search engine I was getting weird websites!! Thanks

                  Welcome! This is great that you and hubby are starting to eat healthy while your child is young. If you never start her on the 'whites' and junk food, she will learn to eat healthy right from the start. Both of you are doing super! Come back often!

                    Thank you all so much for the warm welcomes! It is wonderful having a *diet* buddy. We try to keep eachother on track. Also, looking at everyones sucess stories is such an inspiration!

                          Welcome! Both myself and my hubby are doing this together as well. It's really nice to have a buddy to do with. The funny thing is, we find ourselves feeling a bit competitive with one another which keeps us both right no track, because I could never loose! LOL. Best of luck on your journey!

                            I am not really a competitive person, but when it comes to my hubby something changes in me lol.. Its nice, I don't think I could do it on my own either

                              Welcome. Both DH and I are also on Atkins together, for the second time around. I have to lose alot more than him, but we are a team, and encourage and support eachother. It's great to have someone living with you who understands what you're doing, and why!
