Hi Everyone!
I am new to the site, but have been doing low carb for exactly 2 weeks now and am down 11 pounds. I am so excited! I was loosing an average of a pound a day at first, then it stalled from sunday-thursday, and today I got on the scale and it finally moved again.
For me I have found that I have to stick to as close to zero carbs a day to loose anything. I normally round out at about 10 a day though. (hard to avoid it) I have also been excersising 3-4 times a week. And drinking lots of water. I think that is why I stalled this week actually. I was drinking about 64 oz of water a day (8 glasses) which I thought was enough. Then I started thinking... I am burning a lot of fat right now. In order to burn fat the body requires water. So I upped my h20 consumption to between 96oz- 120oz. Once I did that the weight came off again. Maybe it's just water weight but either way it gives a great boost to the motivation. I'm so excited to be a part of this group!

p.s.- my saving grace has been Atkins Advantage Shakes for breakfast, or a quick meal on the go. They curb your appetite wonderfully and have a good amount of calcium and other vitamins and minerals.
