My name is Tom and I'm 39 years old, living here in El Paso, Texas...the Sun City. This is my second go 'round with Atkins (did it successfully about 7 years ago, losing about 50lbs, but gained it all back). This time is different because I want to begin my 40's in 2009 with a healthier body. Today is day #2 on induction and I have become more obsessive with Fitday, counting carbs to the tenth of a gram this time. I also started going to a gym and starting the C25K program yesterday, walking/jogging 1.30 miles at 3.0/4.1mph. I can't believe I made it through the jogging parts!
This morning on day#2 I feel pretty good, no aches, no pains, no bad cravings today and hopefully this will be a great start to a new way of life! Right now I'm just on the border of being diabetic but my blood pressure has been a real long fight for me. I now am taking 5 medications to control it. I am hoping with God's and your help to hopefully be on lower medication doses or no meds eventually. I will be posting pics later on today or tomorrow so I can be more honest in tracking my progress. Wish me luck and I could use any prayers you have to spare as well.

. You are off to a great start. When I began Atkins nearly four years ago I had to control my type-2 diabetes with two kinds of medication and my high blood pressure with one med. I am happy to report that they are both controled with this lifestlye alone. This can happen for you too. This WOE , I believe is heaven sent.
