Warm welcome to Atkins Etzel, and to the ADBB!

First, I'd read the book: Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) 2002 edition. That will explain how and why this way of eating works.
In the meantime read the stickies in the Induction Forum and also the induction related answers in the FAQs.

You need to keep under 20 g carbs per day during the two week induction. Eat only from the acceptable induction foods list. Most of your carbs should come from veggies, the rest from things like cheese (within the allowance) eggs etc. Veggies are extremely important for vits and mins and to avoid constipation.
Don't fall into the trap of eating too few carbs. Most people need to eat at least 15 g per day... and can go to 20 in induction.
Drink loads of water: at least eight big glasses per day.
    Develop an exercise routine.

To avoid cravings, always keep a high fat snack (like cheese, olives, avocado) on hand.
Can you take things to school, to add to the foods they have that you can eat? Advance planning is paramount.

Ask questions and keep us posted. We're all in this together.
