    Re: Hello...

Hi Pumpkin. Welcome to the boards. I started out slow with exercising. I am still doing it slow. Sometimes, I only walk for 15 minutes on the treadmill at 2 mph. I pledged to do some form of exercise each day, even if it is that small bit of walking. So when you do get to exercise, when you are released by your doctor, you don't have to go straight to the gym. If all you can do is 15 minutes at a time, four times a day, that will give you an hour of exercise! When I tried to do this before, I found that I quit because I couldn't do all the exercise I thought I should be doing but you can't go by what everyone else is doing, just you. Being around here, reading on all the forums, and joining in challenges will help you a lot. Especially go to the induction thread and read all the stickies.

    Good luck and welcome!

On a side note, I lost my first child too. But my second attempt was a roaring success! Now I have this.

      Hi Porcelain,

It is very helpful to have someone who lost a pregnancy post about a lovely child. Ok, so she looks like she could beat the crap out of me, but I like the look; I have never been to pull off "punk".

        Re: Hello...

lol, she is really a bit of a wuss, but she likes to look tough.

Even though you feel okay with what happened, you do need time to get yourself in a good place again and nothing will make you feel better than doing things good for your body. BTW, if you haven't gotten the book yet, you can get it from Amazon with a diary for about $7. Just click on the "new and used" link. I had to reorder mine. It is due to come in today!! Just when you go to amazon.com type in the search "Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002"

If you have any questions, you have a whole board here behind you!!

Believe me, I ate everything with a carb in it that was in the house and the store from Tuesday until Wednesday and it was then that I really realized I am a carb addict who self-medicates with food.

So, this painful thing has happened. I know in my head that it was probably for the best since these things generally indicate a problem, but my heart is a little broken. I think that will take time to heal.

I know your pain all too well, Pumpkin. I myself had a miscarriage at that same stage of my second pregnancy and also had to get a D&C. I was absolutely devastated and heartbroken - I cried for days. I was so grateful for my wonderfully supportive husband and for the blessing of my first born, but it still hurt for a very long time. It still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it, I don't know that you ever really fully get over such a loss. You will find it easier as time passes though.
My third pregnancy was thankfully a great success & now I have a lovely set - 1 son & 1 daughter. If you ever need a shoulder, just let me know because I've been there.

I say cuter because I had started looking at maternity clothes and I could not find anything in size 28, much less something that was cute. So perhaps I mean to find cuter clothes because "cute" is not my goal.

You'll know when the time is right, you'll feel it. Until then take it one day at a time to become a healthier you & you'll be all the better for it! Congratulations on your decision & welcome to ADBB!

lol That's exactly what I call my four dogs - my furry babies! I'd love to have kitties, but unfortunately hubby's allergic so I just have to make do.
