Well, I've decided to give it one more shot...the last time I tried Atkins my daughter, Emma, was about 16 months old and now she is 2 and a half. I also have a 2 month old son named Ethan! I have to do this so they don't remember me being fat!

Re: One last time?
Welcome, Chicagogirl. I'm fairly new. Just finished Induction in fact. I'm glad you're giving yourself one more chance. With the help of this board, the chance you've given yourself is the last chance you need. Post a lot and ask a lot of questions. Glad to have you here.Tim

Re: One last time?
Hi Welcome. Glad that you've committed to getting healthy and gaining control over weight. One good thing about doing this while your children are young helps them to become comfortable with exercise and wise food choices. Even though they won't be doing Atkins, they will still be making healthy habits when it comes to sugar and overindulging in high carb foods.
Make a plan on what you'll eat, how you'll exercise and stay positive about the changes you are making by coming here and making friends who will keep you focused. You can do it, we are all here working together to make it enjoyable and gain knowledge over dealing with obstacles that we all face. Best wishes.Starting Date 3/12/04 285/165/145 - F

Dedication gives wings to our dreams and keeps them in flight! In One Word...COMMITTMENT.

Hi I'm new too, I feel the same way!!! Luckily our kids are so young that when we lose all this weight we will be able to really enjoy them as they grow!!! There's nothing more I want than to actually want to go to the park and run around!!! I look forward to losing weight with you

Re: One last time?
I know how you feel about not wanting your kids to remember you as fat. It's a little late for me in that respect, but it's still early enough that they can see the difference in the before/after & better understand how bad food choices & lack of excercise has very real consequences.
