    Hi everybody

Hi everyone! I just wanted to quickly introduce myself. I have started the Atkins Approach today and so far so good on the induction. I am 22 yrs old, I'm 5'6 and I weigh as of right now 208lbs. I have about 65-70 lbs I'd like to lose, and would love to hear any suggestions from those of you who were successful. I was 220 lbs, some months ago, and I never changed anything about my diet or exercise habits, but all of a sudden I looked at the scale one day and saw that I was no longer 220 lbs! I think it was my sudden increased water intake, one day I just started drinking lots and lots of water and it has become a habit, and when I dont drink lots of water I feel like crap. Anyway I look forward to getting under 200 lbs. And even more siked about reaching my goal. I havent set a date for me to lose a certain amount of weight, I just want to be able to see visible results within 1-2 months. I plan to do induction for a month, or more (if I can stand it lol ) Wish me luck!

    Re: Hi everybody

    Hi Pischa!
I have the same problem when I don't drink lots of water. It's easy to think I can get away on a glass or two a day.

Look around at the forum topics. There are whole sections where people who have been successful share their stories! (Pretty inspiring - I love to go there, and the photo gallery too!)

If you stick to induction rules, after two weeks you should be able to add in up to 5 g carbs by the rules ... Do you have the book? You need to find your personal level of carbs that your body can keep sustaining ketosis. It's different for everyone. (My apologies if you know this already.)

So, welcome, and have fun reading!

Welcome to the board, great place for support and information.

      What I know:
      1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.
