  • Hey everyone!

    Hey there! I'm Vanessa (30) and I'm a returning Atkins after a 4 year "vacation" During that time I had 2 beautiful boys to keep me occupied. After having my boys back to back (2 1/2 yrs old and 11 months old)...I need to get back to some "me". While I LOVE being a mom, I find that I've lost a little bit of myself in becoming a mom. Seems like I have more time with the kids = less time for me.

    I have needed and wanted to slim down for a while, and I just decided to up and get myself in gear. I am on day 3 of the induction stage and have lost 3 pounds so far. I am very excited to lose this weight and get back the body AND mentality that is healthy for me!

    I can't wait to get to know all of you! I've read so much while I was waiting to be approved, this board seems like such a wonderful place to be! Glad to be here!

        Thanks I've just about lost my boobs, and really soon now, I'll start losing my hips

          Ha ha! I hear you on losing the boobs Mine actually deflated after breastfeeding, so now, whatever is left is a goner LOL! I'm ready to shed some thighs (inner and outer) and I need to lose the baby belly. I've been looking over some of the exercise forums and gotten some really good ideas, so I'm going to start doing some execises tomorrow

              I'm not exactly sure how the challenges work. Would it be too late for me to join since we are already heading towards the middle of the month?

                Slave and cleaning lady huh?! Boy do I soooo know that feeling. Welcome aboard! We all need that ME time and what a way to get it As far as the challenges while I am not sure how all of them work as far as time lines there are a couple that are ongoing that you can join. Good luck... not that I think you will need it

                  They are kind of broken up .....like The Love Handles challenge ENDS tomorrow. you can always come join us in the jump rope challenge We're a real trip

                    Thank you! Yeah, seems like my day consists of feeding, changing and constantly cleaning up after my boys and the latest...playing referee Oh the joys

                    BTW...I LOVE your screen name While I'm lacking in the "bottom" part, DH tells me "I'm thick like cold peanut butter" LMBO!! Gotta love guy humor

                        Usually it's not a problem to join a challenge after its started. Just post politely, smile, and bat your eyelashes, and they'll let you join.
