  • Howdy..New here!

This is my 3rd week on Atkins. I am not entirely new to Low Carbing. A few years ago I did my own version of Atkins and then I did the South Beach diet. I had success on both. I maintained my weight for a long time but then I got pregnant! I ate everything and ANYTHING I wanted. It was a hard pregnancy so I made myself feel better with food!

However, Its been years since I've had white bread, white sugar, or white flour at home. That's not to say I didn't eat the bad stuff while I was out occasionally. My biggest fault is Chicken Strips..!! (The battered & fried kind)

Anyway, that is all behind me now! I actually only lost maybe 3lbs after 2 weeks on Atkins. I blame it party on my monthly visitor which is suppose to show up any moment now. I feel pretty good. I know eventually the weight loss has to catch up with me.

I have 65lbs I'd like to lose (which would put me at 120lbs!)
I can't wait to be one of those awsome before & after stories..

Hi PudgyWudgy Welcome aboard. My downfall (ok, ONE of them ) was fried clams.
Something about fried carbs that is a lethal combo!!

Welcome to ADBB! You'll find tons of information here along with support.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Post often, start a journal, join a challenge or 2, stop by & visit The Second Time Around Club (STAC), take your measurements so you can keep track of inches you lose. Most of all keep your book handy & refer to it often.

            Re: Howdy..New here!

Welcome. Glad to have you join us. Chicken strips are one of my favs too. I mash up pork rinds and add spices and bake them in the oven. They are really quite tasty and aren't battered with all the flour and additives you get from the commercial ones. Check out the substitution forum and find other ways to low-carb the trigger foods that tempt us. Learning to low-carb is the best way to succeed on this plan. Best wishes and keep going. You can do it!

Hi PudgyWudgy (LOL - luv the name) reminds me of a nursery rhyme ~ darn now the thing is stuck in my head. And note you can STILL have those chicken tenders - you just have to make them the way Dreamof145 mentioned above!!

Since you have had success before - I am sure you will do fine. Just post often and ask lots of questions -- its what I do. There is tons of valuable information out there just for the asking and alot if wonderful "Thinspiration" on this board!
