Hi there, I'm new to the site. I must confess I only want to lose about 7lbs. I realise that a lot of people on here wish to lose a lot more but I hope you take my concerns seriously.

I'm naturally very petite (ie peewee short and small framed) and have a (very) sedentary lifestyle so any small fluctuation in weight is very noticable. It's quite apparent that my pear shape has gone extra pear shaped of late and I want to correct it before it gets out of control.

This is the first time I've tried Atkins. I'm hoping it will curb my addiction to bread and butter and Haribo, which I tend to gorge on every other week. I'm going to combine the diet with some exercise which I'm dreading.

Hi and Welcome. I think it is great that you are being so conscious of your weight before it gets out of control. I wish you the best on the induction.

It is nice seeing a picture where I actually have a neck!

      Hi Mae,

The great thing about Atkins is that you don't necessarily have to curb your addiction to butter (just butter on bread!).

I've found tons of support through this message board, so come and post often. Everyone is so supportive and great!

Good luck! You can do it!
