    I wanted to say hi to everyone on here. I am new, but not new. I have been watching and reading your posts since April of 07. I just now actually signed up. I have been doing this woe since April 16,07. I was doing great and then fell off in the late fall and did worse over the holidays. I decided on January 2,2008 I would get back on the low carb wagon. I have done great since. I have managed to get off 34 lbs since Jan 2 and I have done it all with your help. My heaviest wt. was 300lbs. last April.
    My problem is....I am feeling so lonely. I am tired of being on the outside looking in. I decided to join in and hopefully make some friends. I would really love to have some friends (friends that understand what I am going through).

    Hi Nya. Yes, friends are the best way to do keep focused and motivated. All the times I secretly went on diets in the past, I failed. I felt alone and miserable and like nobody understood what I was going through. You have a multitude of friends here who understand and want to see you succeed. Jump in, get active and join the many challenges and forums that are available to keep us focused and going to goal. You can do it, we're all in this together. Best wishes.

        Well Nya (beautiful name by the way)... WELCOME... What took you so long You don't have to feel lonely with this lifestyle - here you will find tons of support, answers and hopefully make a few friendships while your at it. Congratulations on the 34 pound loss - that's amazing.

        If you have any questions.. make sure to ask and join up with the challenges there is a new six week exercise challenge about to start later this month - I just joined up so should you.. We can support each other when things get rough.

          Good Luck Nya, I honestly got sad reading about you feeling like your looking from the outside in and are lonely. I am here for ya! I feel that way too sometimes and can relate.

            So glad you decided to post here Nya! Welcome to our happy Atkins family.
            Post lots and we won't let you feel lonely, that's for sure. And you're right... having friends to share successes and challenges with is a great help.

              Thank you all so very much. I will look at the challenges and join in. I am doing cardio 30 mins at least 5-6 days a week and 30 mins strength training 5 days a week. I am very excited to be talking with all of you and getting to know you. Chat with ya soon!
