    Hi Everyone:

I am starting Atkins today. I have tried this WOL before and always give up around the 2 week point. I am ready to take this all the way this time. I have recently quit smoking (as of November) and since I did that, I feel like I can do anything, including stick with Atkins. The last time I was low carbing I noticed an increase in my energy levels, and I hope I achieve that this time as well. I have about 50 pounds to lose. I went to the grocery store last night and stocked up on all the food I'll need. I have a gym membership and will begin a moderate excercise program as well. I put my scale away, as my goal is to only weight myself every two weeks. This seems like an awesome community with a lot of people who have been where I am and can help me along the way. Can't wait to start posting my success story.

        Re: hello

Remember once you hit the 2 week mark, you come out of induction and start to move up the rungs incorporating more food groups. Incase boredom was the reason you quit b4!

I wish you the best! I agree with Sally it sounds like your really ready this time...and thats the most important thing ~ is that you make that commitment!

You can do it...if you feel like your gonna quit...come here for support, and we'll try to talk you through it!

        (: You can do it!!!

WOW.. your one step ahead of me as you quit smoking (I have to do this still - want to quit before my birthday - eww just realized thats this month)... I agree if you can quit smoking which is one of the most hardest addictive traits to quit - then you can accomplish anything you put your mind to!!!

Good luck, but you won't need it you will do great!

            Re: hello

I agree w/ fatbottomgirl. Quitting smoking is an amazing feat...and if you can do that, you can do anything you set your mind to. In fact, I bet this will be easier if you tell yourself, "nothing is as hard as quitting smoking, that was hard"!! (because I'll bet that's the truth!)

How are you doing on induction by the way?
