  • <b>New Oregon Momma!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Raelene but you can call me Rae.

I live in Eugene Oregon and I am a PROUD Momma of 3 wonderful kids. (my oldest son passed away a year ago in a motorcycle accident, his name was Justin... he was 20 years old . Since then I have been living in a daily depression that has engulfed my life...which of course has caused me to not take care of myself as I once did...

I live for my kids, always have, But there comes a time when I need to do things for ME, and that is why I am here... I want the old Raelene back again...atleast as close as I can have her back anyway.

I accidentally found this website while scrolling through the many links on Google. I was searching for the Atkins site because I wanted to remind myself of what I needed to do for the induction period.

I tried Atkin's years ago, back in 1998 to be exact and I went from a size 12 to a size 6 in one month. wow it was great!!! After that I never went back on it... Well now it is time!

I am getting up there in age and have small bulges I cannot seem to get rid of no matter how much walking , exercise or thai boxing I do!!! lol

So I hope Atkins will help me lose that tiny bit of extra weight that I am dragging around.

Anyway, I am happy to be here!!!!! Anyone from Oregon??

    Thx for reading!
    Rae~

                Re: &lt;b&gt;New Oregon Momma!!!

Welcome Rae! I know what it is to lose a beloved child and to stop taking care of yourself while trying to work through the grief. It's been three years, and I still don't know how to answer when people ask how many kids I have. Your son sure was handsome!

I have devoted my challenges to the memory of my beautiful daughter. It helps me keep a focus on how much she would be cheering me on and how proud she would be of me.

                Sunny!

                  Re: &lt;b&gt;New Oregon Momma!!!

                  Dear Sunny,

Thank you for your nice welcome. I am sorry for the loss of your daughter... it is something you will never overcome or be "ok" with... you just learn to live with it in what I like to call a "New normal" /

When people ask me how many kids I have I tell them 3 and then I tell them that one of them, my oldest son to be exact, has died December 2006 at the tender age of 20.

If they are curious as to how and why, etc... I am proud to talk to them about him... he is STILL a huge joy in my life even though he isn't here!! our angels are still our children, they are just not here with us anymore...

I live on the HOPE that oneday I will be in heaven with all of my children... it is what gets me by everyday...

so YES you have the same amount of babies as you did BEFORE your little girl passed on... she just isn't HERE with oyu anymore...heartbreaking... but true.

I know your heart has healed to a "POINT" after 3 years but it will never heal 100%...I cannot imagine how that could ever be possible, and thats okay. We will miss them everyday for the rest of our lives...and thats okay too.

God bless you Sunny.. U little girl is in heaven and she still feels you and loves you very much and she is also rooting you on!!! Believe that.

                  My best regards,
                  Raelene
