I am 21, and have been married for 3 years now, got married to the guy I dated all throughout my senior year. I'll start by saying, the town I grew up in only had one street light, and a burger king for food. I even had cows at my school. So when I moved in w/ my husband after we got married, my senses were absolutely OVERJOYED at all the possibilities of fast food and restaurants in town. I was in heaven. Needless to say, I gained weight pretty quickly and havent been able to take it back off since. Ive even taken up running, and ran in a few 5k races. Still, no weight loss. My husband and I have repeatedly had discussions about my weight, and you dont have to be a genius to pick up on how he suddenly doesnt want to have the "grown-up play time" a married couple should still be having!! We're still practically newly-weds! I know he desperately wants back the cute skinny girl he fell in love with, and honestly I dont want to just KEEP gaining weight either. I want to stop this before it gets out of hand and take back control that food has had over my life for the past 3 years. Im in nursing school as well, so anytime I feel stressed out, I binge.
I am finishing up this crazy diet I started called the lemonade diet, because I wanted a quick fix. I have now realized after 5 days that all I have lost is water weight, and as soon as I get off of it, and start eating normally again, its all going to come right back. I need a long term change. So...Im on here researching and getting as much information as I can so that I can start on March the 5th. I could use all the support you guys have to offer, and even would like a partner if anyone is interested in starting at the same time? Dunno...I am not HUGE, but I am on the brink of being overweight according to my B.M.I. 24.`, and 25 is overweight. And trust me, its ALLLLLL fat. No muscle.
So that's me in a nutshell. Im here to learn....get tips....anything that would aid in my success.
Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful day!
