    Hi, bozwellruby

    Welcome to ADBB.

I'm glad that you find Atkins easy to stick to, and you are feeling better about yourself already. Isn't that great?

Hey, refresh my memory... how many pounds is a stone? I forget.

It sounds like you are doing well. Make sure that you stick close to the board, and post often. This is a great place for information, support, and friendships. Good luck to you!

            Re: New to the forums

Welcome to the boards! If I can be so bold as to suggest a few things that I have learned along the way... don't cheat. Stay to the purest form of induction that you can. It does matter. Also, when you find yourself frustrated or a bit down, read the boards and all the great posts and journals of people just like you. They helped me immensely when I found that I had hit a wall. Also, realize that this is not an instant weight loss diet. It does take time even if you lose rapidly in the beginning. It will eventually slow down and that's where the staying at it begins. The easiest thing about this way of life is that you will not feel hungry or deprived. You have lost 7 pounds and that is tremendous! Enjoy the victories as they come along! It feels great to be in control! Keep posting - we all enjoy celebrating!!

I am on holiday in september and i just want to look really great i want to be 140 lbs or so because i would like to be able to treat myself to some new clothes.

Great job on resisting the chips! I often find myself having to resist the "just one" mentality!
