Hi All...I haven't been around much since October. Okay...I haven't been back at all since October. I was doing so well, had lost the better part of 20 lbs despite a rocky start. AND...then I got sidelined with a medical issue. The big daddy of weight related medical issues: THYROID. UGH. Freaking ****. So after I gained 14 pounds IN ONE MONTH...irritated the **** out of my doctor's office, I think I'm stable now.
Can I just vent at how pissed off I am...to have been so dang close to my goal...and then to get derailed by my own body? And the battles I've had to fight to prove it was a medical issue and not just a fat person issue?
Anyway...now that my thyroid has been buckled down (for now), I started back to induction last Monday. I've learned not to weigh myself daily anymore...I couldn't take it there for a while. So, by forced habit, I'm only weighing myself on Monday's and I lost 6.5 lbs last week.
You'll be happy to know, that I've completely kicked my Diet Mtn Dew habit (that was about a 5-day detox right there) and I'm only drinking water. I know...ME drinking WATER!!!
So, please wish me well as I continue to clean up from my pity party!!
Hugs,
trina

You made an awesome decision to get back on track now that your thyroid problem is controlled. Sorry you had such a time getting the medics to see beyond those "fat person issues" (to quote you

Sorry to read about your thyroid problem, but it seems you've got it under control now. So wipe those tears away and regain your momentum -- you can do this.. you've proved it to yourself once before. Congrats on the 6.5 lbs gone - shows you are already on the right track and I agree drinking water is one of the most positive things I have done for myself to detox all this bad fat from my system :d

I'm very glad that you've decided to only weigh once a week... potential for too many heads games when doing it more often.
