  • Hi All!

My name is Annie, and I'm a carboholic! Recovering one anyways hehe. I have been a lurker on the boards for a while and decided to join. I love reading the posts and especially the success stories and before and after photos! They are so inspiring and I thank every one of you who has shared your stories and photos!

I never had trouble with my weight until after I had my children, now 6 and 4. Ever since my weight has been up and down all over the place, but mostly up hehe. I hovered around 170 a couple years ago and went on Atkins and lost 40 lbs. But unfortunately I didn't make it a lifestyle change and basically stayed on induction the entire time and bored myself to death. I went off the wagon and gained all the way up to 215...my highest weight ever...(more than when i was 9 months pregnant!) I've always known that I needed to go back to Atkins and I knew that when I did, it was going to be forever. Here I am 2 years later, many lbs heavier, and ready to make a permanant transition into being HEALTHY!

2 weeks ago Sunday I ended a dead-end relationship, moved, and began induction (after re-reading DANDR of course)! I have already lost 8 lbs, and I feel great. I have no cravings, not even for the kids snack foods that I am surrounded by. For the first time in a long time I feel in control. I think the universe or god or someone was on my side because for some reason I was in Ketosis and feeling fine the day after I started! Its almost wierd that I really don't feel like this is a struggle...The smell of carby foods is actually grossing me out.

I am going to stay on induction another 2 weeks until March 22 because I am not bored and I do have quite a bit of weight to lose. After that I will head up the rungs of OWL like I should have done the first time around
