  • Doin' it right...

    Hey all...been lurking for a while, getting up the balls to commit to the real deal. You've convinced me to follow DANDR to the letter.

    So it's four days into reinduction(I believe I'll do it a bit longer than 14 days) and I'm feeling great. No real cravings...minimum "flu"...down to size 42 jeans.

    Also, switched to decaf, one or two cups, half a splenda in each. And one can of poison(diet soda) per day.

    NO CHEATS THUS FAR!

    I've got a couple of days off work so I'm hoping to get to the gym both days...for me and my eastern european hybernation metabolism, no workouts, no weight-loss. Ugh. Maybe someday I'll come to love the gym.

    I'll tell you guys what got me here, finally... I went back to school this semester...working on a degree in chemical dependency counseling...so they have those friggin' combination chair/desks that are made for teenagers! Skinny teenagers! My classes are two and a half hours each. Try sucking your stomach in for two and a half hours, five classes a week!

    That's the deal with me--thanks for all the info here...looking forward to the support you guys share so freely with each other.

        Welcome to the ADBB.

        It sounds like you are doing well, and I am very proud of you for deciding to follow Atkins to the letter. Having done it both ways, I can honestly say that it worked better when I followed the good doctor's plan, rather than put my own twist on it.

        I'm glad that you found us. Make sure to spend a lot of time here... it really is a great source of information, motivation, and support. I'm looking forward to hearing more from you.
