    Hi from the UK

    Hi,

Just wanted to say hello. I haven't really started yet but have been dabbling with low carb as I am still re-reading DANDR. I did attempt this a
few years ago but I wasn't very successful though I did find a felt a whole lot better, (no heartburn, IBS and even my Arthritis felt better). So I am hoping that I can persevere this time and lose a little weight before the Summer and for good hopefully. At the moment I would like to lose about 50lbs , and then maybe try for a bit more .

Okies, as its 12.30am I best get to bed. Nice to meet you all

Hello Lynn! Welcome! Good to have you join us. Sorry to hear you're cold over there in West Sussex. Been ghastly Easter weather... again!

Glad to hear you felt better last time you did Atkins. I'm willing to bet it'll be the same again. Kudos to you for re-reading the book. It's really helpful to know how and why the programme works.

Looking forward to following your progress towards a healthier, slimmer you.

i would like to welcome the both of you to adbb......i have a lot of fun here and have developed some good relationships (online) from which i can expand my understanding and practice. my desire to exercise has increased tenfold and i am doing things now that, 3-4 months ago......i wouldn't have imagined. i have also developed a solid base for healthful eating and i know how i should be eating....i know what works!! initially i dropped 30 pounds rather quickly but now i have stalled a bit......but i know why more importantly, i am in control now!!!

Wow thankyou all for the lovely welcomes. I should post some stats in my signature. You have done so well, and it will keep me inspired also

Hiya back wackyjacqui (great name). I haven't really started induction yet though for the last two weeks I gave up carbs altogether apart from tea with soya milk which is soooo hard to give up. Bloating went and IBS etc so I know that i feel healthier this way, I lost only 1lb but thats probably because I am not doing proper induction hence my dabbling with Atkins!!!.

Anyhoooo, thankyou all for the lovely welcome and I look forward to posting regulary when I have digested more of the book, I no doubt will be asking loads of questions to make sure i am doing it right as I am so slow at losing weight anyway and get a bit impatient

              thanks again
              Lynn
