  • hi aiming to loose 100lbs

    hi my name is tatenda 23years old turning 24 in april. i just started the diet last week and have lost 8lbs. i will be happy o get any support from all of you.im 238lbs now aiming for 150lbs

    Hello Tatenda,

    Welcome to the bb and congratulations on your 8 pound weight loss. It sounds
    like you've had a good week already. Do you have Dr. Atkins book? Make sure
    that you have it and read it along with getting the support on this bb. It will be
    a great support as you work your way down to that 150 pounds. Also, another
    great resource for you is Fitday.com. It is a free site that many of us use to track
    our carbs everyday. I mentioned that because I noticed that you asked a question
    about eggs on another thread. Just make sure that you're counting your carbs.
    There are many recipe options for induction so take a look at the recipes. You'll find options that you might enjoy like the mock danish.

              Hope your low-carb day is going fine.

              As far as ticker is concerned click on anyone's ticker (like mine) and it will take you to the ticker home. There you will find instructions on how to make your own.

                i have gone to ticker factory and done everything the only thing giving me problems is how to get it in my thread.can anyone help. and thank you for welcoming me i feel im not alone

                  Hi Tatenda,

                  Once you fill in all the information for the ticker it will give you a bb code. Copy and paste the bb code into the signature area of your "user CP" in the area where you want it to appear. Then you can take a look at the signature and the ticker should be there. I am on a Macintosh but it should work the same way on your computer with a right click.

                    hello again. quite disappointed today i weighed myself and ive gone up 3 pounds. dont know what im doing wrong,i havent cheated or anything. my food intake for the past two days are

                    tuesday
                    B/f (3 eggs and 3 bacon rashers )
                    Lunch (salad-spinach,lettuce,cheese,5 olives with olive oil)
                    Dinner (pork chops with 1 cup salad-lettuce)

                    Wednesday
                    B/f (2 eggs and 3 bacon rashers )
                    Lunch (salad-lettuce,slice of cheese,5 olives with olive oil)
                    Dinner (miced meat with onion, lettuce,cheese)

                    plus plenty of water each day. ive cut out sweeteners and herbal tea completely.
                    what am i doing wrong????????????????

                      Tatenda,

                      I'm not sure your eating enough by what you've posted. Day one looks pretty good but day 2 looks a little light. I know this is hard but you don't need to starve yourself right now. So, here's the first thing I think you should do.
                      1) Don't panic... trust the process - this way of eating works
                      2) Go to Fitday.com... it's free, quite a few of us keep track of our foods there. Make sure you're eating enough during the day. Once you've tracked your foods in Fitday you can give us an idea of what your overall numbers are and we can let you know how you're doing.
                      3) Don't weigh everyday right now. Try and give yourself the first 14 days of induction to adjust to the program. Some people go up a little during the first 3 days and then their weight drops. So, it's not a great idea to weigh everyday right now.
                      4) Did you buy Ketostix? If so, by day 2 or 3 you can check to see if you are in Ketosis. If so, you are on the right track.

                        I hope you are eating some other veggies. You've listed lettuce, spinach & onions. There is a long list of allowed veggies...give some a try.

                          Hi ~ so happy to have you join us. Get active here, stay positive and keep posting. We're all here working together to make it happen in our lives.
