  • Hi to Everyone :)

My name is Shelley. I'm a 39 year old, stay at home mom, from South Carolina. I have at least 100 lbs to lose, and just started the Atkins program yesterday (after doing a 1200 calorie diet for a week prior and was tired of being hungry.. which is bad anyway). I still have so many questions (even after reading the DANDR), but really looking forward to having the support of this board to get me through.

I am committed to a clean induction. In fact, I plan on being on an extended induction for quite some time, and will monitor my progress and let my body tell me when it's time to go to OWL.

I am so happy that I found this board and I really look forward to interacting with you all!

          Hi Shell,

One of the reasons Atkins is such a realistic way of eating for me is I don't have to starve myself, I can actually eat. I can live my life eating this way... it's so perfect! I can't go hungry that's torture...lol.

Hi Shell! Welcome to the ADBB! You have definitely come to the right place for information and encouragement along your journey. You should check out the Century Club as MS mentioned earlier. It's for those of us with 100 or more pounds to lose. It's a very supportive group. We have a daily roll call to check in with each other. Come join us. Good luck and HAPPY LOSING! I look forward to seeing you around the board.
