    Hello Everyone,
    In a nutshell. My health is in the toilet!
    I'm 5 feet tall, 270 pounds
    Chronic depression, candida issue, hypothyroid, fibromyalgia.
    I want to reclaim my life!
    I know that to get the candida under control that is causing all kinds of issues inside me I have to stop feeding it sugar!
    That brings me HERE!
    I have a lot of weight to lose...THAT brings me HERE!
    My weight problems is a huge contributor to my chronic depression...that brings me HERE!
    My Fibromyalgia is probably more painful because of the excess weight...that brings me HERE!
    I have thyroid issues... it's harder for me to lose weight...that brings me HERE!
    See, I have lots of reasons to be HERE! I plan on posting a lot and taking responsibility for my life/health. I want to live and no longer just merely exist.
    There are a lot of things out there that I am not doing because of my weight! It's time to lift this thin woman out of this zipped up fat suit that I have called home for many years!
    I deserve it! My husband deserves to have his wife grow old with him. My children deserve to have their Mother around for a long time!
    Currently they are small - one is 3 and the other is 7 months. I need to be able to keep up with them and set a good example for them.
    I'm glad to be here. It seems like a nice supportive atmosphere!
    The before and after pictures are amazing and I hope to post mine here one day too so that I can be an inspiration for someone as well.
    Starting Weight: 270.4 * started 3/27/08 *

    Mini Goals: 260 (Get nails done)
    Mini Goals: 250 (New Perfume)
    Mini Goals: 240 (Hair Color/Cut)
    Mini Goals: 230 (New Outfit)
    Mini Goals: 220 (Sexy Bra)
    Mini Goals: 210 (Sexy Nightgown)
    Mini Goals: 200 (Pretty Dress)
    ***Those are my goals so far ***
    I have 140 pounds to lose! Baby steps...one step in front of the other. This is not a race but a lifestyle change. NEVER GIVE UP! QUITTING IS NOT AN OPTION!

    My Goodness! you sound so much like me. There are a number of things we have in common. Especially our reasons to be here. Believe me, your health issues and energy level will improve and the cravings will disappear. It will surprise you how you'll feel around day 5. Welcome to the boards. Spend time reading the sticky threads in the 14-Day Induction Forums. Keep letting us know how you're doing. Congratulations on your decision to take back control. Go for it!!

      I am going to read, read, read, read and when I think I have read enough...I'm going to read some more ha ha. I want to make sure I soak up the info like a sponge!

        Sounds like you've made up your mind to do it.......so go do it. And not hopefully goodbye to 140 pounds....it's goodbye to 140 pounds.

        Go get 'em. I'm expecting a pic in 140 pounds from now of you in a itsy bitsy teenie weenie polka dot bikini..........................ck

          Clayking you are SO RIGHT! It's not HOPEFULLY it is I WILL. GOTTA STOP THAT NEGATIVE THINKING!!!
          So far day one has been good and on plan! I had a headache today and felt a bit off BUT to me that means I am de-carbing and getting healthy!
          Not sure if I will post an itsy bitsy teenie weenie polka dot bikini picture at goal - BUT I am sure "goal picture day" will be me in something sexy that makes me look smokin' hot I am thinking that little black dress that I have been dreaming of will make it's appearance!

            Welcome aboard. This is a great place to be. I just restarted today-03/27/08 and I'm really excited. This is a great place for inspiration!!

              The nice thing about Atkins is you can do this with anything that's going on in your life. I have fibromyalgia and high levels of candida and this way of eating (WOE) works for me. Congratulations of starting day 1 of a new way of life.

                Ladybug.... I say this to you but its for me as well...
                Its time to get angry, stubborn and mean about doing the right thing!
                Its not about how bad I did today, its about how to do better from now on!
                ONE THING MUST STAY IN YOUR MIND... "What is the best thing I can do for myself right now?!"
                It may be rest, exercise or simply drinking another glass of water but start asking it a thousand times a day and then do it!!

                  Welcome. You're gonna love it here. You're doing the right thing by committing and educating yourself on how this plan works. Surrounding yourself with positive people who are dedicated to changing their life-styles is the best thing to making it happen. Positive thinking = positive actions = positive results.
