  • 2nd Try

Hey Everybody - I am new here. This is my second try. I started originally on March 2 of last year. I stayed on it until last Thanksgiving. I had lost nearly 115lbs, but went off for the hoildays and have since not gone back on, until Sunday. I gained back alot of weight fast during the hoildays, so I have only lost about 75lbs as of now.

About me: I am a married college student and I work full-time. I am nearly 6 feet 8 inches tall, and before I started this a year ago, didnt think I had a problem. I always carried my weight well, looking around 300, instead of the actual 542 I was. I was shocked when I found out how much I weighed. It was actually a humbling experience. My wife was always worried about me, and she and my parents had convinced me to go to a Lap-Band seminar. I set up an appointment and meet the doctor. I found out I was 92 lbs over what the could to. I was told that if I lost 92 lbs then I could have the surgery. Somewhere in the parking lot leaving the doctor I decided that if I was going to lose 92 lbs on my own I might as well lose it all myself.

As I said earlier, I lost 115, from March 2 to August 2, and was down to aroung 425, but then I started eating the sugar free candy. I did this for about 4 months, and didnt lose anything, but didnt gain anything either. Then I fell in the hoilday trap and was never able to get out until last weekend when I realized I had gained back about 40 lbs in 4 months.

So here I am, and I am sure I will need support, which is hard to ask for. Its great to know each of you and feel free to e-mail of message me anytime. Thanks everybody.

Welcome to the Boards! It's good that you're getting on back track. And it's also good that now you know about the sugar free candy! Stay away!

You did so well before, I'm sure you will be able to achieve the same level of success and more this time around.
