  • Motivated after yo-yo

Well. My story begins eight years ago when my daughter was born. Before my pregnancy I weighed 112 pounds, which I would not rather be again, it's a little too skinny for me. However after my pregnancy I was 155, and very determined to lose the weight, which I did through starvation and extreme exercise. Unfortunately it was temporary because I did not now that my hunger would betray me in such a harsh way and I wasn't prepared for it. I am now currently weighing 181 and only because I've been on the induction phase for what's going to be a week tomorrow which I am grateful for. I've been up and down for quite some time now but unable to keep off the weight. Every time I loose weight when I gain it back 10 pounds seem to quickly add up. I am tired of being the biggest one amongst my friends and family. My husband is a very lean muscular guy and it really hurts me that in pictures I look twice his size. I don't want to be the person who shy's away from pictures anymore. He's been so supportive of me that I really want to do this for me but also for him. And I think I've found the motivation that I needed through this website and through you kind folks. This is why I have chosen my profile name as Motivated 1980 the year of my birth. Thank you for all of your success stories, hopefully soon I will be telling my own. So I'm up for the challenge.

Welcome to the boards! You will get a lot of support here and there is some really great information on this site. I wish I had gotten eating right at your age. I think I went to my first prom the year you were born! haha.

Anyway, you stick with this diet and do it right, you will be extremely happy you did. There is no other diet that gets to eat as well as we do. Good luck!

"Thank you for your support, It means a great deal to me. The funny thing is that my daughter is only eight years old and very thin, and now I realize that she really does not crave carbs or sweets. Unlike her mother, her biggest crave is a huge bowl of salad, raw vegtables and grilled chicken. She always tells me "Mommy your gonna get old quick cause you never drink water". Some advice, for only being 8, huh! Thank you for your reply.

Mine was like that when she was 8 too, and would order salads with her food at a restaurant but now that she is a teenager, my bad habits are starting to show on her. I don't know how long my good habits will take to go into affect but she seems willing. It is good you are doing this now at her age before the hormones kick in!

You know, I think about you ladies that have your men out overseas a lot. I could only wonder what you may go through without them by your sides. I don't know what I would do as my husband and I have a very strong bond, almost inseperable. But I'm sure your not only gonna look amazing, your gonna look amazingly beautiful. You keep up the great works and I'm sure you gonna reach your goal and make that man of yours jaw drop. Just keep thinking about that reunion and that will keep you on track. We can do this!
